Terms of Use

1. Scope

These terms govern your use of the website www.html-to-markdown-ai.com (the "Service"), operated by Christoph Dieck. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these terms.

The Service provides a browser-based tool for converting HTML files to GitHub-Flavored Markdown. All file processing occurs exclusively on the user's device via WebAssembly. No files, file contents, or conversion results are transmitted to any server.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for personal and commercial purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • You have the legal right to process the files you upload (ownership or appropriate license)
  • Your use complies with applicable laws and regulations
  • You do not attempt to interfere with the Service's operation or security

4. Intellectual Property

The Service's source code, design, and content are the property of the operator. You retain all rights to your uploaded files and the resulting Markdown output. The conversion process does not grant the operator any rights to your content.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The operator does not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The conversion output will be perfectly accurate for all input documents
  • The Service will be compatible with all browsers or devices

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

7. Availability

The operator strives to keep the Service available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond the operator's control.
